The AH Riise Distillery is located on St. Thomas Island, an American Virgin Island in the Caribbean. Before this island became American territory, it was a Danish colony.
The pharmacist Albert Heinrich was not only allowed to open a pharmacy around the 1840s, but also to produce alcohol.
This AH Riise celebrates the Nordic Industrial, Agricultural & Art Exhibition in Copenhagen in 1888, where the The best of art, industry and agriculture from the 5 Nordic countries was brought together.
This exhibition was based on the great London exhibition of 1851. More than 1.4 million people visited the exhibition in Copenhagen during the 6 month opening period .Exactly at this exhibition, the AH Riise XO Copenhagen was awarded a gold medal.

The blend contains rums that have matured between seven and 21 years in selected casks. The barrels were stored on islands in the West Indies and Central America.

Nose: Soft, oak, leather, dried apricots.
Flavour: Warming, orange peel, Christmas baking.
Finish: Long lasting , dried fruits, sherry.
