The 5-year-old Ron Caney Oro Ligero comes from the rum metropolis of Cuba. It is still made today in the same building where Bacardi made it before Fidel Castro came to power. Molasses, which is obtained from sugar cane, is used as the basis for the rum. Ron Caney Oro Ligero matured in oak barrels for five years. The rum gets its color and taste from the aging in the Spanish barrels.
