What does Meikle Tòir mean? Meikle Tòir means “big pursuit”, the aim is to produce an incomparable peated Speyside single malt from GlenAllachie. In 2018, master distiller Billy Walker and his team begin the pursuit of peat brandy production.
How does the sweet folly get into the whiskey? The use of first-class mainland peat creates a gently smoky, oak-style taste. An elaborate process involving prolonged fermentation, sophisticated distillation and careful aging takes the spirit to its highest perfection. After years of patient maturation, the whiskeys are bottled.
What do the labels of the Meikle Tòir bottlings mean? Our carefully selected earthy color palette suggests the whiskey`s smoky flavor profile and was inspired by the nature of GlenAllachie Distillery: moss, oak, heather and sky.
