The 5 year old Kweichow Moutai Maotaizhen is a Baijiu from Mootai in the Chinese province of Guizhou. The maturation is traditionally carried out in clay or ceramic vessels. This Maotaizhen remains in the clay jug for 5 years.

Moutai Maotaizhen has an intense and complex aroma, floral, fruity and slightly smoky. The taste of Moutai is intense. Mild sweetness at the beginning, followed by fruity and nutty notes. Moutai has a silky and soft mouthfeel with a slightly bitter note.
