Inspired by Australia`s cultural capital, the Melbourne Gin Company (MGC) was founded in 2012. Founded by Andrew Marks, a Yarra Valley winemaker living in downtown Collingwood. Andrew attempted to tip his hat to London Dry Gin by creating the first-ever Melbourne Dry Gin, pioneering a new local industry while combining a double love for gin martinis and his hometown.
MGC wants to pay tribute to a city that is celebrated for its culture and deserves its own unique spirit. Crafted in stills designed for the making of perfume, the MGC crafts classic gin with a Melbourne twist. MGC takes an innovative approach to distillation. Its gins incorporate locally grown and native botanicals and fresh local rainwater.

MGC Melbourne Dry Gin was the very first Australian gin to be launched with such ambition, paving the way for the burgeoning local Gin Industry.

MGC is an independent distillery with an artisan approach to production. Our gins are hand made, batch distilled and non chill filtered.
